What Our Customers Say About Us

"I really enjoyed the weekend and hope to be able to do it again sometime - and maybe bring my grandson along, see you soon."
Rich from Herts.
"The level of service and training at the Chris Caine Survival School is fantastic. Having been a return customer, I am consistently impressed by the professionalism of every staff member I have come in contact with. Thank you!"
Mark Broxton (Irlam, Manchester)
"I have just returned from a 3 day course with Chris. I can only say it knocked the pants off the 5 day coure I just recently attended with another company. Having 2 instructors showed that the one on one tuition is invaluable. Under supervision we were allowed to make our own mistakes then have them corrected. I can tell you that our safety, well being and achievements were ar the forefront of Chris's mind. I could not have asked for more from Chris on such a short course, I am looking forward to the 1 Day Plant ID Course and the Coastal Survival Course"
Thanks again, Richard Maher (Yorkshire)
Hi Chris Caine Survival,
As requested a review of the survival tool I have never written a review for anything before so here goes.
This is a warts and all review for the Chris Caine Survival Tool. My only other experience with large tools such as this is the British Army Golock to which you cannot compare the Survival Tool which is far better made and with better materials.
On removing the tool from the packaging I was very impressed with the build quality and the finish. Not so much though with the sheath, this however has now been rectified with a handmade upgraded Chris Caine sheath which matches the build quality of the tool, the devil is in the detail they say, Chris's name, the serial number of the tool and the manufactures name are well stamped into the blade, which comes very sharp from the box.
I have used the tool for the last three days at first I thought the size and weight would be a hindrance they are but like all tools the more you use it the more proficient you become, carving feather sticks, parts for traps dicing carrots/onions on the first part of the blade was no problem, all holds the choke, regular, extended and reverse grip are very comfortable and give good control over the cutting edge and confidence to give a good swing when chopping, which no surprises the tool excels at also as a draw-knife. The third cutting edge near the tip makes a good scraper with the rounded back giving yet another comfortable grip.
Despite some heavy usage it held an edge very well and only required a few passes with some P800 wet and dry to restore the edge.
In conclusion, am I glad I purchased the tool? very much so, will it be a permanent addition to my pack? yes.
I hope this helps. Regards
Steve.
